The room was very nice and spacious. It was clean and the hotel staff was very friendly. There is a Denny’s right next door with a wonderful staff and group of regulars that make you feel like you are a local. Plus the oldest cemetery in Austin is next door – so bonus for this archeaologist!

This hotel was a 10-15 minute walk to the University of Texas at Austin and its free bus line – it was a perfect spot to rest my head after the Maya Meetings and Hieroglyphs Workshop. Here is a couple shots of my walk to school – was pretty cool.
